Hays Machine Works is a race proven dragbike product development company. Our main focus is racing clutch development in the motorcycle drag racing industry, although we research and develop many parts in racing industries world wide.
Hays Machine Works is a rare combination of product development with track proven experience combined into production that creates world records and championships on race day. Our founder Tim Hays has a rich and deep past entrenched in the motrocycle drag racing industry. Tim strived to have the best and fastest products on his personal bikes, but noticed the technology that was available in other industries were not available in ours. Motorcycle dragracing seemed to be a "modify stock parts" industry, until Tim had his vision. Fast forward and Hays Machine has become the industry leader in creating custom parts for dragbikes, four wheelers, drag sleds, and many other vehicles. To put it simply Hays Machine Works creates parts to make you faster!
Hays Machine Works has waited for over a year to pay the $10,000 prize money for the first 6 second pass in Pro-Street. October 1st Ryan Schnitz blasted the record at Maryland International Raceway and became the first to run in the 6's with his 6.90 blast down the track. Cecil Towner had been focused on this goal and used the Hays Machine Works Convertable Clutch to reach it.
Cecil was quoted as saying "we didn't put the clutch in for the ten grand..", but we were glad to pay it to him.
Since Hays Machine Works became involved in the motorcycle drag racing industry we have given back to the racing community. It is a fact that the very clutch Cecil used to make this historic pass was a result of Research and Development along with Feedback from our customers.
We would like to formally congratulate Cecil Towner of HTP & Ryan Schnitz for teaming up with Hays Machine Works to create the most historic pass in motorcycle dragracing history. This acolade was not Hays Machine Works first and certainly won't be our last, but we will embrace our role in the history books and will be looking for the next obstacle that they say can't be done.
Do you need a special advantage to reach your racing goals? If so we have the parts that will get you in the winners circle and put plaques on your wall.
